SCHOOLS AND MENTORSHIP

Bringing Exploration Into the Classroom and Beyond

At Adventure is Ours, we believe that young people shouldn’t have to imagine what’s possible, they should see it, hear it, and be part of it.

That’s why we work directly with schools across the UK, delivering talks, workshops, and tailored sessions that use real-world expeditions to spark conversations about confidence, mindset, identity, and climate.

🏫 What We Offer for Schools

🎤 Inspiring School Talks & Assemblies

Preet Chandi has visited over 20,000 students across the UK, sharing her journey from beginner to record-breaking polar explorer, with honest insights into failure, resilience, and pushing through barriers.

Key topics include:

  • Growth mindset & resilience
  • Breaking stereotypes
  • Climate change in polar regions
  • Real-life preparation & problem-solving

🧗🏽‍♀️ Workshops & Outdoor Sessions

Hands-on activities that build teamwork, leadership, and self-belief (indoors or outside). These are perfect for deepening the learning after a talk or as part of a wider enrichment day.

We also offer follow-up materials for teachers to keep the momentum going.

🤝 Mentorship & Support

We know inspiration doesn’t stop after one visit. That’s why we’re building a mentoring network to support:

  • Young people interested in exploration, outdoors, or sports
  • Adults from underrepresented backgrounds entering the adventure space
  • Future grant recipients (from our Grants & Outreach programme)

Our mentorship isn’t just about advice, it’s about representation, access, and encouragement from someone who understands what it’s like to start without a map.
